Design For Project Performance Reporting
Design For Project Performance Reporting
Inputs needed on performance reporting in this application are as follows. 1)Project Management Plan Project management plan contains the required parameters as a benchmark in performance appraisal. The main parameters such as work schedules and weights formed a Gantt chart. In addition, list of stakeholders is also required and list of deliverables. B.Information Performance This information includes the status of deliverables and the actual performance against plan. This info comes from the ongoing process of execution. C.Tools & Techniques 1)Variance Analysis Steps in the variance analysis are first to verify the quality of information obtained to ensure the completeness, consistency, and credibility as the comparison. Then, determine variances by comparing actual information to plan and record all the difference in both positive and negative impacts of the project. Thus, managers can determine the impact of the variance has been obtained for the project. 2)Forecasting This process predicts future performance based on actual performance periodically. These methods is categorized into time series, casual / econometric, judgmental, and others. This study used methods of time series with a period of weeks. 3)Communication These are methods that performed the transaction and analyzing information on the status and performance of the project. These methods are classified into interactive methods, push, and pull. This study used pull as Communications method. 4)Reporting System Reporting system is the standard device used to capture, store, and distribute information to stakeholders. The system is a combination of deliverables tables, spreadsheet analysis, and curves. D.Output The results of the performance reporting process may include performance reports as tables are then formed into a sigmoid curve. This curve consists of plans curve, actual curve, and graphics scores. codeshoppy
Issues are important in project management because it captures any unexpected event that is not listed in the plan. There are four main roles which are project team, manager, and review group. The project team catches issues that arise and present it to the manager. Later, the manager role is to approve or reject submissions based on the impact to the project. If approved, the issue will enter the issues register to be reviewed by review group. Review group will monitor whether the issue has been completed or is still ongoing. Review Group is also in charge of making change requests if there are issues that demand it. If the issue has been completed, review the group will close the issue.
Based on the research and test results, several conclusions can be drawn as follows. 1.The design of application with the features: a.record the progress of the project b.calculates and displays the progress of the project curve c.upload information to the server over the network 2.A prototype application on Android platform based on the application design. 3.Prototype application has met all functional test scenarios with a score of 100 and has a non-functional test value very good with score 85.87% on a scale of 5. Some suggestions related to further development are as follows. 1.The application has a database of stakeholder’s contacts that connect with Android contact database. 2.WBS displayed with tree navigation which can expand and collapse. 3.Deliverables management function capable of making and changing the contents of documents with external applications. 4.Multi-agent systems for better agent management. 5.Reminder mechanisms such as alarms and notifications to enhance the awareness of users to change the information in the project .
